The first round is over with the Roland E-X10 keyboard. I used the first style from each genre, there are 11 genres I think.
The keyboard cost me €189 and you can hear that, the styles are very simple, but I had a lot of fun doing something with it. The video are short pieces of each "song" I made with it.
With the style of the World genre I had a hard time because it uses a rhythm that I don't know, one bar has 4 beats and the other 3 beats and then back to 4 and back to 3 and so on. In the beginning I had to do that with the metronome, which is fortunately built into the device. Once I got the hang of the rhythm, I turned it off, but it still took some getting used to.
The styles are very simple, and the instruments don't sound great either, but what do you expect for €189. A real keyboard for beginners. I've had a blast with it, and now on to round 2! Hopefully it goes just as well.
If there's something in there that you should like because it makes you happy (many songs are happy) then you can always download it from my website: https://www.masterthekeyboard.be/
