Hello! in a trade for an amp, I got this wonderful keyboard...it's a lot that I don't play and I would like to have fun doing it a bit.
The trade was easy because this va7 has a broken floppy and a mute key. the key maybe it's just to clean the rubber I think and the floppy well...I should check for an old pc fdd to swap it.
but I don't have any zip and I don't have the disk that came with it....is there somewhere where I can download it?

thank you

Replacing the floppy shouldn't be too difficult, there are plenty of them around.
Your best bet is probably to email Roland directly, and keep your eye on places like Ebay. Somebody who owns a VA7 might be able to send you a copy of the disk maybe?

This unit uses an IDE/ATAPI external Zip drive, unlike many of the other earlier SCSI Roland keyboards, to store more data than you can store on a 2HD floppy disk. An external Zip storage solution would be recommended because this keyboard can create files larger than 144MB. There are SCSI to USB adaptors that could save you a lot of money and headaches.

I was thinking about a fdd-usb converter since I have to change the floppy disk...but can I have a space larger than regular FDD ?

This unit uses an IDE/ATAPI external Zip drive,
The VA7 has a regular floppy drive and a zip drive, both internal and mounted below the keys.
