Whilst holding down the last white key on the right of your SX900 turn it on.

This will reset your keyboard to its default state.

You will then have the default voice and style.

What he's asking for is changing the default bootup to his preferred setup. NOT a factory reset. It's simply not doable on most low end keyboards.

It should be available on a mid range keyboard that costs £1,500.

Yamaha manuals suck, there is no mention of being able to change the default, or if there is I did not find it.

Option, set up your preferred Style, including the Instruments etc and Save It to Registration 1 Bank 1.

Then at least on boot up it is quickly accessed.

$1500 is still $1500 worth of consumer plastic these days. Usually state on bootup is reserved for high priced workstations and professional grade synthesizers.

The main market for arrangers is home use and adding the additional memory and logic to control bootup is considered gilding the lily.

Gary.

The 900 costs about $3000 Canadian.

For that one should expect more flexibility.

It does cost $800 more than a Fantom 06 and $400 more than a Nautilus.

Hi.
Registrations is a neat feature, so if you save styles, voices and other preferred settings for startup into a registration memory, i.ex. as the first one #1 in the row, it will be ready to load quickly after powered on.
I'm not sure about sx900, but at G1 and G2 the last registration loaded / used before power off the keyboard is present at next startup as long as I've not done any reset in between.

SX720 has this feature and if I remember well, also SX700 had it, so SX900 should have it too.

I have the sx900. It does remember the last registration that you used. So, before you turn the keyboard off, just make sure that you load up the registration that you want, and it will be there when you next turn the keyboard on.
