How do I duplicate the organ sound at the intro to Stevie Ray Vaughn's "Crossfire"? Any hints would be greatly appreciated!

OK, sounds like I am just staring to crawl and every one else is running. Just starting out. I have a Yamaha MODX 6/7/8. Is there an equivalent for my keyboard

See page 3 of the attached PDF for a copy of Yamaha's MODX 6-7-8 Data List which lists all the tones, aka "Performance Names" and then proceed to audition them all that are "Organ" and "Tonewheel".

Numbers 149 & 150 are close to what Deleware Dave had suggested, but there could be others in there too.

If you're curious even further, there are numerous videos on youtube that will introduce you to how Hammond drawbars work; with the settings Dave provided and some knowledge of how to sculpt or shape sounds using drawbars, it will improve your organ playing -- although the MODX doesn't have drawbars like the real Hammonds, most "clone"wheels (electronic versions of "tonewheel" organs) and many synths have.

Dang! The PDF did not attach...
Use this link to be able to download it direct from Yamaha's site...

Good luck.
