I want new styles for my Korg pa700 ...
It is not recommended to load purchased or downloaded styles, that have been written as a set to a USB stick into the Pa700/1000, because this could result in corrupt data being loaded into the internal memory without being checked. Rather listen to and test such Sets beforehand with Direct Access.
*
LOAD is advantageous for clean resources that are primarily used as a STANDARD SET. After loading, all data, including samples and multisamples of individual sounds, is stored in memory. This standard set can be organized according to your playing habits, and some space should remain in memory for resources that you want to create, add to, or modify.
By a "LOAD" command individual sounds (samples/multisamples) already in memory will be overwritten , so you should not load additional, unknown styles for this reason alone, but rather test and listen to them beforehand with DIRECT ACCESS.
*
Direct Access on the Pa700 is suitable for this purpose; it's a convenient, reliable, and safe method - it will not accept unknow/corrupt data. Details can be found in the Pa700 manual on pages 893-897.
Unlike Factory and Local Data, the resources for Direct Access are not stored in memory but on an external storage medium — for example, an USB flash drive.
You access a Direct Set by "SELECT" on the USB flash drive. This allows you to use the data on the USB flash drive just as if it were permanently stored in the internal memory. This also prevents any memory storage spaces from being unintentionally overwritten, as often will happen with LOAD operations of sets like Korgs Bonusware.
A single 4GB-USB flash drive can hold more than 100 different sets, each with the capacity of the Pa1000's memory. Accessing a set requires only a "SELECT" or "DESELECT" action (Global Mode/Preferences/DirectFolder/Browse ..), without having to change the storage medium or burden the memory.
With Direct Access, you can preview styles, songbook entries, keyboard sets, pads, etc., and then - if desired - decide whether and with which resources you want to supplement the standard set.
Last but not least, it's worth mentioning: SIMPLIEST WAY OF MANAGING FILES is using "Copy and Paste" to copy the selected items between USB-Direct Set and Standard-Set in internal memory. You touch the item - or more items, or a whole bank - choose he Copy and Paste command from the page menu and select the target location. Selected items will be copied WITHOUT NEEDING A LOAD FUNCTION!

With "Copy and Paste" you can copy the following data into a User/Direct location: Style, Keyboard Set, Pad, VoicePreset and GuitarPreset.

To copy SOUND from/to Direct locations is not possible . How to merge sounds in sets with additional styles that come with pointers to samples and multisamples, is not an easy workflow that can be explained in a few lines -->
