I am a beginner with Casio CT-X870IN
Can anyone advice me how to add or adjust sustain to different tones.
I am not using a pedal.

Welcome.

If you look in the Manual there may be some form of global adjustment that will give you what you seek.

As a beginner though you would be better advised to buy a pedal and to learn how to use it, learning good habits now will give you long term benefits,

Sustain simulates holding down a key. If you played a note and immediately relased that note but held down the pedal for three seconds and then released the pedal it would the equivalent of playing a note but holding that note down for three seconds then releasing the note. Now imagine playing a bunch of notes and doing the same thing. The sustain pedal will hold whatever notes were in the down position at the time the pedal is pressed plus any additionnal notes pressed while it is down. That would be difficult to simulate because of the randomness of which notes get caught in the sustain, it is a matter of timing the pedal. Spend $20 and buy a sustain pedal and learn how to use it.
