I've found a cool site where they archive old piano rolls from the turn of last century scanned into MIDI File Format.

Copyright has expired on all of them, (Even the batshit crazy American Copyright) so they are safe to download.

Right now I'm listening to Hungarian Rhapsody No. 15 - The Rakoczy March on the computer.

If I close my eyes and crank up the volume a bit I could swear there's a player piano in my living room

This is great!, My wife's grandparents had one but when they passed my wife's parents tried to sell the player piano along with about 200 piano rolls and quickly found out that the piano along with the rolls were pretty much worthless. Needn't to say the sound of the player piano now leaves a bitter taste in their mouths.

I might download a few of these and put them into a musical greeting card and disperse them through the family as a mean joke lol
