Although I have occasionally played keys on recordings and a couple of times live, I mainly play them for relaxation, as a hobby. That’s why I loved the 220: I could drag it around with me, press power (batteries) and noodle around for relaxation. That’s what I was hoping to do this this week while I was vacationing in Florida, but discovered that one note in every octave ( the same one) won’t put out any signal.

You could get yourself a GOkeys3 or 5, since it already has the better zen core sounds, avoiding the need for 5 pin midi, and they both run on batteries.

The only slight complication might be that I’d like 1/4” analog outputs- but I’m guessing if I got a splitter I could convert the headphone stereo output into two 1/4” cables for old school mixers and portastudio use?

Of course you can find many 1/4“ (or 1/8“) stereo to two 1/4“ mono cables.

For sure. I guess I was just kind of thinking out loud and wondering if the signal would be as strong that way as having two separate analog outs. No matter. I rarely record keys anyway; it’s just a hobby to take them to Florida with me every year. I’m pretty sold on the keyboard, and appreciate all the input.

If your budget allows for the Gokeys5, it has 1/4" line outs; the 3 does not. The 5 also has a mic input.
