Worked for a while but now when I plug my fan into usb keyboard Roland FA-06, it makes they keyboard restart.

It did work for a while as I said but now it restarts and fan doesn't work even for a second.

Any ideas as to why?

Thanks

You overloaded the USB port. It's designed ONLY for thumb drives, NOT stupid appliances.

Go to Tech. Go Directly to Tech. Do NOT Pass GO. You'll be lucky to pay less than $200.

Roland's warranty does not cover "abuse."

This thread is something of a comedy sketch.

Why even think warranty anyway?
The keyboard is not broken! It just restarted. lol.

The fan carked it . . Not the keyboard . . Chuckle, chuckle

Ok problem solved..using a plug that has usb on it instead.

I think what was happening is the fan has more than one setting for strength activated by the same button. So it must have been ok on the lowest setting but not any higher ones.

I hate intermittent faults in life in general ...either work,,or don't!

Grr all done now

You're still taking the risk of permanent damage.

In your manual the section on USB will CLEARLY state what it's rated for.

Ignore at your peril.
