I want to use my PA1000 to play live music in a band. I want it to be as easy as possible to advance to each song that the band will play. and of course each song could use different sounds. I was thinking of setting up each song that we play as a style which would then allow me 4 keyboard sets / sounds for each song. some of the keyboard sets / sounds that I will use will be customized by me (not just using the keyboard sets that are ready setup). Also, it is possible that I will want to transpose a given style / song, but not all the songs. Is this the best approach? And am I able to just transpose a style (or in my case just a song?). Any suggestions or recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

Save each Style you have for a specific song into Songbook.

Changing the Keyboard sets to suit within each Style and doing the same with each of the four Pads.

Once you have built up the onboard Songbook you can create a Setlist.

You can create multiple Setlists and even move the content around.

If you wish you can also create your own Keyboard sets and save them to a User Bank, which themselves can be organised into say Genres.

BTW, do not forget to backup your Pa via a SaveAll process before you power it down after modifying the content.

The PA1000 is a very versatile tool for a band keyboardist. I have a PA900 and do some of this. I think you’re on the right track. I would just recommend using the Songbook to save all the desired settings and voices etc and save each song under its actual name. (I don’t transpose myself but you can save transposition settings as part of this too). In any case by using the Songbook you can quickly find, retrieve everything in a simple recognizable format - and take it to the next level and build a playlist.

Hope this is relevant and helpful.
