I just purchased a volume pedal for my PSR SX600. TO my surprise the volume decreases when you press the pedal down. I was expeting that the volume would imcrease when presseing hte pedal down. Is this the way it should be? Can it be changed?

Hi.

Welcome to the forum! 👍

Some pedals have a polarity switch, ( + / - ).
If your pedal don't have this function, you can switch the polarity in the menu for pedal settings at the keyboard.
Btw, the user manual is often nice to peek in to.
You may find something there... 😉

Here is a video at YT:

There was no switch on the pedal, but I finaly found the meny item and managed to change the polatiry. The manual is not very clear on such details.

I've had an Ernie Ball Stereo Volume Pedal for both of my keyboards for years and it works great and very reasonable as well. Just set your individual keyboards so they blend and use the pedal as your master, works GREAT!!!!! Done it this way with the same pedal for many many years with all different brands, just run the boards from line out to line in the pedal, line out of the pedal to your mixer piece of cake!! Rock on!!!

PS......They're built like a tank (metal)
