Well for making music tracks like nine inch nails really layerd drum sounds with piano violin ect

Which is better? Hard to say; Fantom X was Roland's flagship before they introduced the Fantom G; MO8 is a scaled-down Motif ES. Still, the MO8 will probably do some sounds better and some sounds worse than the Fantom; the main difference will be in the features it has.

Can you make sounds like the ones your friend sent you? Try it and see!
