Revisiting this, here's what I'm seeing...appreciate anyone's experience (and so, thoughts) on these or others. I'm a little flex on price but not into paying a lot:

Nektar GX61: By far the least expensive, making it tempting. I hear there are (were?) some velocity curve issues which the GXP61 fixed?
Nektar GPX61: See above
MAudio Oxygen 61: Doesn't appear to have a FF or RW transport functionality, which is a deal killer, but maybe I'm missing something there? (You can see this in this link: https://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-Oxygen-61-MKV-Arpeggiator/dp/B092XDPSXM)
Novation Launchkey: Seems to have a good rep
Arturia Keylab: Also has a good rep but no power button on this unit really bugs me; an odd omission

I tried quite a few before I bought one.

Nektar, was OK but keybed felt odd, could not put a finger on why, it just did.

M Audio Oxygen, wooly feel to the keybed, built to a budget.

Novation Launchkey, good overall but as with the others let down by the keybed.

Arturia Keylab, this is the odd one as there are a couple of versions the cheap Essential is just that cheap, nasty and only fit for using as a door stop (I had one but sold it after a couple of frustrating months), the higher end Keylab is vastly superior.

In the end I bought the M Audio Oxygen Pro which is built like a tank and has a very different keybed to the standard model.

You get what you pay for.

Thanks; wow it's surprising so many disappointed you on the keybeds. I don't think I can justify $350 for a 61-key keyboard though; might take a chance on one of the others. It's not like I'll be playing Mozart on this. :)
