Winter NAMM 2021 is Cancelled... (Or may as well be....)

Just in case anyone has been living under a rock for this past year,

There Will Be NO Winter NAMM this coming year.

Instead it's going to be some weird assed "Summit Conference" held on Zoom.

The only reason people normally go to a show like this is to touch and hear the new gear in person.

Be prepared for a long lineup of youtube demos held in the factories which may as well be factory demo vids.

I wouldn't be holding my breath on manufacturers bringing in a bunch of new lines this year either.

If you've been holding off buying in anticipation of the latest whiz bang module or board, be prepared to wait a lot longer or just bite the bullet and buy something "good enough" on sale.

I was hopping to see some new gear in arranger-workstation area by the end of this year from Medeli, Roland end especially Korg but I guess we'll have to wait for next year or some better times.

I would not be so sure that new kit is not going to be released.

Sales of kit generally appear to have done well during the pandemic.

No doubt newbie gear, but what do newbies buy?
