yamaha m06 help ???

hey all i have just got myself a yamaha m06 having had the motif 6 a few years before, i used to be able to type in literaly every note on every track to make my songs and then save them as midi, and easily edit them....can i do this on the m06?? the manual is confusing and im very rusty! i hope someone can help.....thanks

I'm not certain which type of song creation method you're used to, but the phrase "type in literaly every note on every track" sounds like you might be talking about "step recording." Look at pages 83 and 193 of the Owner's Manual and let us know if that sounds similar to what you're used to.

hi yeah thats right, also when i load a smf into the keyboard the sounds are all over the place! i.e wrong sounds on wrong tracks can you help with that ?
