Yamaha psr s650 on/off button not working. It comes up the moment you connect the adaptor and it only goes off when I unplug the adaptor.

Is it really worth the cost of a repair? Use the 'power connector' as your on/off switch by plugging it in or pulling the plug, or better yet attach the connector to a power strip that has an on/off switch and use the power strip button as your on/off. Much cheaper solution than spending money having someone open up the keyboard to fix the power switch and then breaking something else in the process. It's not like a computer running windows where you need an orderly "power down"; cutting the power with the power switch or from a power strip has the same impact.

Here is another thought . . Ola de pastor.. .
You can set "AUTO POWER OFF"
It's default setting is 30 mins. but you can change it to as low as 5 mins.
The KB will shut down automatically after 5 mins of no play (without unplugging your adaptor)
Go to "FUNCTION" and scroll through 'til you get to "AUTO POWER OFF"
Change the setting with the "CATEGORY" Arrows.
