Welcome.

Best advice ….. don’t.

Learning 3 fingered Chords is not that difficult.

Tip.

Look at the chart below, specifically the C chord (C Major).

Look at the notes played, i.e. C, E & G

Now look at the Unplayed Notes between each of the Played Notes.

There are 3 between the C & E and 2 between the E & G.

Now look at the remainder Major Chords, do you see anything scimilar?

Repeat with the Minor Chords.

It does not take long for finger muscle memory to develop and it becomes second nature.

Once you have these mastered expand into 7th and other permutations, the Unplayed Notes between those played will be the same.

Once the above is mastered then download a Chord Inversion chart and study it.

Then practice Inversions.

Inversions will open up the keyboard by making chord changes quick and very easy as hand movement will be less.

That may sound odd but it is second nature and very much like how you play chords on your guitar.

This is how Chord Inversions work.

Very good advice from Biggles

Single finger chords (played by the keyboard) are not helping anyone to really play.

You will soon find 3 finger chords improve your playing, and they are really simple too.

I concur with Biggles.
I have been harping on for years for beginners to learn triads.

Once you understand the formation of triads in major and minor chords, then you can expand these to play the likes of 7ths, sus, Aug, etc...

Forget single finger chords.
They are useless.

Try playing F#m7 with a single finger.
That chord (for example) is very common.

Bm7 ?
C6 ?

Two more very common examples.
There are heap more so learn TRIADS
First step.

Hope we have steered you in the right direction @MAC260
