Just wondered if any keyboard players use the Yamaha Stage Pass system for gigs.
I gig as a duo and need a decent sound for clubs etc. If anyone does I would be interested on your thoughts. My set up would be for Korg Pa5x, Nautilus, Sax mic and vocal mic. Ideally the keyboard outputs would be stereo.
Cheers

An organisation that I belong to uses one for music and videos.

Sound quality is very good and there is a multi channel stereo mixer inbuilt yet detachable from one of the speakers.

Whilst not stagepass I do use a pair of Yamaha powered monitors on my home setup and they sound great, even with me megre poaying skills.

Good luck with your research.

I think your referring to the column system. I have a similar system by JBL and its the best balanced sound I've ever had. I'm sure the Yamaha system is just as good as its bigger. You won't get stereo from one unit, I have two JBL's for that.

Yes - as the picture shows, the Yamaha StagePas is NOT a column system.

It's not bad sound for the money & lightweight.

However, a pair of QSC K8's and a small Mackie or Yamaha mixer blows that system out of the water in terms of sound quality.

More expensive for sure - but I try to abide by the "Buy Once, Cry Once" policy these days:
spend the extra money to buy Good Stuff the 1st time, suffer the financial pain of it up front - - then move on!

Hey JerseyGuy -

Are actually a "Jersey Guy?" lol - - if so, in what part of the state are you located?

I'm in Morris County - but I play gigs all over the state, as well as NY state & PA.
