Just got my kid’s keyboard out of the roof to learn how to play. Probably not used for 8 years. All going well until I found a dead key. Tried to clean the contact with white spirit and then the scribbling with pencil over the circuit and the rubber contact too. No joy. I tried the rubber contact from the key next to it but that didn’t work - so I assume it is the metal circuit. Any ideas to try next ? Thanks if you can help. Tried to find other posts but they all say clean and use the pencil which I have tried.

Probably re-soldering of cable joints. See this guy repair process. He is hammering this music keyboard like Jordan Rudess. Still managed to fix it. :)

Thanks for sharing. Don’t have the kit for that and not sure I can see what he is soldering ! I’ll need to find some help.
