Hi, new here. I'm planning on buying some Waves plugins and they have a special now with one of their bundles that comes with GTR, their guitar amp simulator. I started thinking that it might be cool to have something like this on hand to get some different kinds of sounds, especially distortion and other "effecty" kinds of tones.

Do any of you work with guitar software to do such a thing? Would this be practical to have or end up being nothing more than just for fun?

guitar amp simulators are mostly used when a guitar is used as a virtual instrument.

although they can be used as any plug in, if you decide you want to start playing around and try to get some new sounds you can use them on any instrument patch u want.
