I need a keyboard bag! But I don't know anything about them.

Most of the ones I've seen have 10 mm of padding; is this sufficient? I'll be using it to take my keyboard on two trains to get it to my home, though I may also use it after this for storage. Also I am looking at some with shoulder straps like on a rucksack, so you can wear it on your back, but is this good or bad? Like, will I be using these rucksack-esque things or should I just go for a cheaper bag that doesn't have them? The ones I've been looking at for my Yamaha PSR-E413 are:

    Any other suggestions are welcome. The keyboard's dimensions are 94.6 x 40.2 x 13.6 cm (37-1/4" x 15-13/16" x 5-3/8").

    Thank you!

    Both of those look fine.

Have you a music shop you call call into and see what they have? I know the web is cheaper but it's good to try these things out and feel how comfortable it is. You also have a shop to call into if the strap drops off after a week.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I was planning on visiting a few shops today. Would you recommend any particular one over the others, or would I be okay to go for the cheapest one in this case?

Either looks fine. Shop try on is a good idea.

I've one for a 76 note keyboard from a company (or brand?) called Roksak. It's well made with lots of padding and a comfortable shoulder strap.

I have a 61 key bag I got from Musicians Friend a few years back - it makes a good bed for my cat.
