I have this old casio keyboard, CTK2000. I tried to pull it out from our storage room, yet when i plugged it in, it wont turn on. No LCD response. No sound. As in dead silent. Any steps where can i start ticking my keyboard? I do have technical background in electronics yet not so familiar in keyboard repairs. Thank you for your kind response and help.

the 1st thing I'd check for is the power adapter. It may have bit the dust or the connecting wire or the barreled plug (the piece that inserts into the keyboard), if any of these three have bit the dust you won't receive the power needed to power the board. if you have access to a tester I'd check to see if the full power adapter is delivering power to the adapter and the proper voltage to it. If you are unable to test the power plug then either invest in a tester or just replace the plug. here is one:

I believe it is 9V and 850mah; perhaps you have another one from another device that can be substituted to try out. Check yours to see if it it tip positive or tip negative; it should show you a diagram on the adapter; be sure the replacement is of the same type. If it still doesn't come on after using/purchasing one that you know is good; you'll need to take it in for repair.
