    Hey hey
    new person here
Iv got myself a midi controller and i was wondering if anybody knows some (preferably) free software i can use to play sounds through the controller (like garage band) for Windows XP. Its very frustrating having a midi controller at my dispense and not being able to use it! Any help would be great
For a heads up, software i already have includes Sibelius, Adobe Audition and Audacity.
    thanks
    Peace
    Rob

sounds like you need a sound module instead....even with a killer sound card, you would have to have a computer with a ton of ram and a hefty proccesser to come close to be able to play "in real time" because of latency or lag time between the computer and the controller.....with a rack module, theres no latency.....plus the good sounds would require a good software pakage of sounds which isnt cheap either

i dunno.....sounds like it would be easier goin the rack route instead
