I figure it's about time I started dipping my toes into the big sea of software synths and recording programs etc since I don't know much about either. I have a copy of Reason on my laptop and recently and I've been tinkering with it, is it any good at live performances? Have you ever incorporated it into a rig? What do you personally use it for? Do you think it would good for a situation in a hard rock/ metal band as a second synth with presets? Any pointers or good tips for a newb?

    Thanks.

    Hey Adam,

Reason is very useful in my limited experience. We use it live on stage - via a midi controlled keyboard - no problems so far. Just create the sound you want on reason and hey presto! It would be ideal, as in your case, to have it as a second synth, with preset sounds (that is what we do). My advise to you is to get cracking!
