My 1/4 out is busted and I'm thinking about just running out of the XLR on my CP-70. I'm going straight from my keyboard into the band mix for the PA (no DI cause the cable is only 20') but I'm wondering if this is going to have any adverse effect on sound quality? Thanks
As long as there's nothing wrong with the XLR output on your keyboard, and it's as good quality as the 1/4" output, this would probably be preferable. The more steps you add between you and the mixer, the higher the potential for line noise.
