whats the problems?

Thanks for responding, and please excuse my ignorance. I am a acoustic guitar player who purchased this equip to record my own music. This is my first keyboard. I am over 40 and not an idiot :D Once purchase is made and I leave store, the store is NO help at all.

The SD card that came from the factory>store>me was full and would not let me record. I was able to figure that part out.

1) I downloaded driver off of Roland site for my Gi. (windows 7). It downloaded successfully. However when I hook up keyboard w/USB cable to computer, computer does not see the keyboard at all. Look in My Computer and it isn't showing the connection.

2) I am able to play drums manually using the keys. Shouldn't there be drum patterns programmed into this thing that I can use? I am not a drummer.

I can tell you more later.

-What software are you planning to use on your computer to record your Juno?

-Also, usually keyboards use USB to transmit / receive MIDI information instead of old fashioned MIDI cables. Same information, more popular cable. If you want to record the real audio from your juno to your computer, you will need a slightly different setup.

Something I didn't realize initially about the Gi, is it has an onboard 8-track recorder. If you don't want to, you really don't have to use your computer at all to make cool recordings. As far as interfacing that onboard recorder with your computer, take a look at the manual...I won't B.S. you. :)

-Drum patterns. Take a look at PAGE 121 of the manual. Here's a link to it.

Hope this helps. :) I love Roland gear
