How to exclude other monitored tracks from new track being recorded

I am recording to a Samplitude program on a laptop from a Yamaha P125 via USB using ASIO drivers, but I feel my problem must be general; when I play back my already recorded tracks as a monitor it also re-records the existing tracks with it, though at a lower volume, on the new track. This because USB is two-way and so mixes my new keyboard track with the existing tracks. How do I just use the existing tracks as a not-to-be recorded monitor? Even if you're not acquainted with Samplitude, which has lots of options, what do I need to do in general terms either with my hardware config or the software? Thank you.

See if there's some sort of ASIO Mixer utility you can use to adjust individual I/O channels.

It's either an improperly configured mixer or it's a bug. See if your Yamaha offers this software.
