I joined this forum without even knowing that there was a difference between a keyboard and a digital piano.
I thought they were the same.
Fortunately I found the answer by reading through some of the threads. (sigh)
Can I still hang out here even though my goal is to get an 88 key digital piano?

A typewriter isn't our kind of keyboard, although some people join because they think that it is. You're fine here.

Hah! I read in another post that a keyboard was identified as having 61 keys and lots of goodies for the left hand.
Whereas an 88 keyed item was classified as a digital piano.
Hmmm..I guess I can stay after all.

Not stupid at all

There is a tremendous crossover within the keyboard world.

What is stupid is the people who join this forum and post about issues they are having with their qwerty computer keyboard, I jest not it happens frequently.

Workstation, synthesiser, organ, arranger, digital piano are all keyboards with various keybeds and number of keys, although I am not aware of any organs or arrangers with 88 keys.

Then there is the dark art of MIDI.
