No sound

Hello, I was given a lovely large Korg keyboard when my brother in law passed. All the lights come on, seems to be connected but I cannot get it to make a sound. I don’t know how to get to internal speakers to check for a disconnect. It had been working. Any ideas? Thank you.

Have a look at the back where the headphone port is. Is there an adapter plug in there?
Take it out.
See if you get sound now.

So sorry. Had to get help. My vision is challenged. It is a KORG DIGITAL PIANO DP-2000C

I think this unit is 20 years old.
Yes, it would be best if you can repair it yourself. A technician could charge you more than it is worth.

I doubt if there is a problem with any of the speaker connections and if there was it would probably only affect that particular speaker.

This piano has a speaker On/Off switch at the rear so make sure it is set to ON.

It might also be worth checking that the pedal board cables are connected. I used to have a Roland piano which stopped producing sounds. I discovered that our cat had partially chewed through the cable and after repairing it, everything worked as normal.
