My wife's best friend of 30 years died suddenly a week ago. Her husband is my best friend and bass player in one of my bands. We were both married around the same time back in the mid 90's, and our wives were pregnant at the same time, etc. Her name was Cindy. It's been a terrible time. Many tears.

Tim, her husband, sent over a song list late last night, to be played at Cindy's Celebration of Life next week. I know all but two of them. Never played Sultans of Swing, and I have no clue what Respect is.

I'll need a box of tissue on stage because I'll never get through without crying. I like the set list though.

Today is Cindy's Celebration of Life. I'll try not to cry onstage. Cindy was my wife's best friend for 30 years. Just taking one keyboard but both my amps. Well, here I go...

Sometimes it's less hard than others, but never easy. Thinking of all those who will miss her...

Take care,

You have created a memorable treasure for your best mate.
Glad it went well for you
Hold your head high. Now you just have to support your wife while she grieves the loss of her friend.
