Grease star, singer Olivia Newton-John dies at 73

British-Born Australian singer and actress Olivia Newton-John died on Monday at the age of 73, according to a post on her Instagram account.


“Dame Olivia Newton-John passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends,” the social media post said.

She burned brightly, but not for long.

So sad.

She had success here in the UK in the early seventies and appeared very regularly on our TV. One seriously bright star in an otherwise boring screening of pap dramas.

She even represented us in the Eurovision Song Contest only to be beaten by ABBA.

I had one serious crush on her well before the leather outfit in Grease.

RIP Olivia.

Tragic news!
She was my childhood heart throb.
I met her (by chance) when I was 13 and she was 16.
I fell in love with her then and continued my infatuation for ever.
She was a British girl and called Australia home.
Geniune sweetheart. She had a voice of silk.
Sad day.

We also lost (on the weekend) Judith Durham from The Seekers. Another sweet beautiful person with magnificent voice.
