    What's the Yamaha manual say?

Are you talking about speakers on your computer (if so, what kind is it, what OS, etc) or on your keyboard?

what speakers? CP33 doesn't have speakers, and you can't play CP33 sounds on PC via midi cable.

CP33 has the "MASTER" button which toggles master keyboard/normal keyboard mode (master for midi and normal for... well... normal playing :D)

I don't have a CP33, but would check to see if there is a "local" on/off mode.
Possibly the local control has been set to "off".
