I have a Casio Privia PX700 that the boots on the hammers seem to have dry rotted and when used some have deteriorated and come off leaving me with sunken / half dead keys. On PacParts they state that the hammers or at least some are discontinued.
I know its an older model but I want my kid to learn on it, so it sworth repairing. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
The black boot on the end, not sure technical name, but dont really need the whole hammer

If the part is discontinued then you might find them on ebay, but more likely anything you'd find there would have rotted as well.

You could always try molding your own parts out of silicone rubber.

or making the parts or having them made for you by someone with a 3D printer.

Since you'd need a whole set anyway, this might be a worthwhile project.
