New noise maker

Howdy there! I am new to using DAWs, and keys in general. I play trumpet and guitar so I already have some background in music, but since I'm under quarantine I thought I would pick-up a Akai MPK mini and give ableton a try since MPC seemed to be a sub-par software. Unfortunately, there seems to be a steep learning curve jumping into this new instrument. You'll probably be seeing plenty of me hollering for help and tips in the forum. I look forward to diving into this new hobby with you guys!

I’d recommend getting some free VSTs to go along with it
Synth1, Dexed, SQ8L, PG8X, Oxe FM, Full Bucket Music synths, and MinimogueVA.
Once you get into these, paid VSTs will work
M1 Legacy, Wavestation Legacy, Triton Legacy, and others like Massive and Kontakt.
