Daughter rang this afternoon and in the course of our chat she said that our Grandson wants to take Piano lessons.

Never thought that he would want to have lessons despite buying him a £100 Casio CT S200 for his birthday.

Guess I might have to start saving and buy him a DP if he sticks at it.

He is not exactly a little nipper, he is 13 and almost as big as I am.

He has played on my keyboard each time he has visited, usually plugging in his iPhone and playing one of those scrolling Apps.

A year ago he was really enjoying playing on my Keyboard so we made a deal, I would buy him a keyboard for his birthday present early on the condition that he practices for at least 30 minutes a day, school work permitting.

Actually he should be able to plug his Casio into his iPhone as a controller for Garageband.

So, did he practise?

I would encourage him to pursue it if he is committed.
I never had that opportunity when I was young. I wish!

If he loves music, then you need to motivate him.

Do it!
