so i bought an m50 for 750 on this one site but the order got canceled and cant find it anywhere else cheaper then 920$'s roughly. Since i want a 73 key keyboard eventually does anyone think it would be a good idea for me to buy an x50 now for 590$ then upgrade later? if yes then what kind of 73 key keyboard do you think I should get later that would be a good upgrade from the x50? thanks

M50 is waaaaaay better then the X50, and by buying the X50 you'll be wasting money.

Just save up for the M50

so is x50 to m50 73 key wouldnt be a good upgrade? also im not going to save up for a 73 key m50 right off the bat cuz it costs so much more then the m50 61 key.
edit: oh yeah also I want something that I can easily carry back and forth from college next year so thats another reason I thought the x50 might be good

The X50 is 61-note, so why not just get M50-61? - as Skipp said, it's a far superior keyboard,

and still very lightweight, easy to carry around.

( I have both..... I only use the X50 when I need to carry something on the bus/ in a taxi etc, 'cos my M50 is 88-note ).

because I want a 73 key eventually and was going to save up for a m50-73 after buying an x50 now. so do you think it would be better to go m50-61 then m3-73 or some other 73 key keyboard?

Whether you're going for an M50-73 or M3-73, I'd still recommend that you get the M50-61 over an X50.

The M50 & M3 share the same sound engine, and have many similar features,

so you'd be acquainting yourself with the way the 'board works -

(it can get pretty complicated when you start delving into it).

It's been said many times by many people - the M50 is by far the best value-for-money keyboard on the market at the mo.

The same can't be said for the X50.

If you're looking at M3, (although it has many more features), there is more competition in that higher price range.

k you guys thanks alot. I really didnt wanna go with the m50 at first because of the extra $ but I ended up getting it yesterday on ebay for 800$ because of all your guys opinions. Thanks again for the advice and I dont think I'll be dissappointed at all with my purchase
