    Pan
    Cutoff
    Resonance
    Attack
    Release
    Swing
    Gate Time
    Velocity
    Unit Multiply

    May I suggest Google? There are some good tutorials out there on subtractive synthesis and audio in general (pan is a general audio term; the rest are generally to do with synthesis). It'd take a lot of effort for anyone to type out explanations simply so you don't have to look around at what's already out there.

    You can go to the yamaha website or Motifator forum and get the info you seek. At the Yamaha website (manual library), you can actually download the MO8 user manual free of charge in pdf format and this should answer all your questions.
