Casio Privia PX3 Transpose Settings How-To

Trying to get some settings to work on my Privia PX3:

1. Set right hand to "Strings"
2. Split keyboard at F#
3. Set left hand to "French Horn"
4. Transpose left +12 (up one active)
5. Transpose right to -12 (down one active)

The "transpose" process on this keyboard transposes both the right and the left, but not either independently.
So, step #5 above negates what I did in step #4.

Does anyone have a work around or know of the secret to independently transposing the split?
