Hey guys,

I recently purchased a refurbished Casio PX350 and after a few months of having it and it working fine my keyboard no longer boots up. When I press the power button the keyboards display lights up for half a second and the whole thing turns back off. The problem isn't the power supply as I've tried it on several other keyboards and it works fine. Anyone have any ideas as to what it could be? I could take it to a repair shop but I don't want to pay $300 for a $5 fix.

Anything sticky under the control buttons? It's possible a stuck button is aborting the power on self test procedure..

If you pick it up and shake it does anything rattle inside? Turn it upside down? Maybe a loose blob of solder shorting something out.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU SHAKE IT WITH POWER DISCONNECTED!!!

Either way, unless you are comfortable opening it up yourself it is likely it will have to go to the shop to fix.

What kind of warranty did Casio give you on the refurb anyway?
