Think again. The scariness of AI has just begun.

I don't like being old, but I pity kids just growing up in this loony era of our world.
Exactly why I would never connect a keyboard to a computer.
If you can't actually play it yourself, then bluntly, move over.

Music isn't another video game toy for the wobble heads.

I often connect the keyboard(s) to the computer by USB to transfer files forth and back... 😉

Whatever we do, AI has most likely arrived to stay, no matter how scary it may seem. 😱
One of my 'brothers in law' has been hooked on this thing.
He "compose" melodies by use of AI, and this also use "his" voice to sing lyrics by use of this electronic feature.
Don't ask me how he does it, but he seems to have lots of fun..... 🥴😦

AI is not my 'cup of tea', I rather sit down and play whatever my brain and fingers may come up with at the moment I touch the keys .... 👍😁

Ever since I connected my Tyros 1 to a pc and it blew the one and only Host to pc socket (there was no actual usb socket on the original Tyros) I swore I would never make that mistake again.

Believe me......I swore !!!!

Paul McCartney: Don't let AI rip off artists

Excerpt:

Sir Paul McCartney has told the BBC proposed changes to copyright law could allow "rip off" technology that might make it impossible for musicians and artists to make a living.

The government is considering an overhaul of the law that would allow AI developers to use creators' content on the internet to help develop their models, unless the rights holders opt out.

In a rare interview for Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, Sir Paul said "when we were kids in Liverpool, we found a job that we loved, but it also paid the bills", warning the proposals could remove the incentive for writers and artists and result in a "loss of creativity".

There's a local TV commercial that my wife said "That sounds like it was written by AI" and I listened to it, and it not only sounds like it was written by AI, it sounds like it's *performed* by AI

The lyrics are admittedly hilarious, and they probably fed the lyrics into or at least the general gist into the AI generator.

But this BC tv commercial sounds entirely AI generated to me. Anyone else?

Yes. Definitely AI.
