Hi ,

Great to find this forum, mostly a piano player but recently started playing keys with a dance band and needed a new keyboard anyway even for home and recording. I ended up with the Roland Juno DS 88. Been liking it a lot for the feel, tones, creating patches and favorites. Still a bit on the heavy side for me at times and big for small stage gigs.

One of the band members has a Ds61 and I'm wondering for practice if I can take the DS88 backup and restore it to his DS61? I suspect maybe sounds like it would work theoretically, but maybe not because of the keyboard side difference.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

DS config is interchangeable between 61,76, and 88 units.

Firmware is not.

thanks, tried it last night, worked perfectly. Now I don't have to take my DS88 to practice, can use the guitar players DS 61 that he has setup in the practice space! whoop
