recommendations: 25 key, 5 pin midi in, not a midi controller, synth

Help, i've already made 2 regrettable purchases. I have a guitar synth i want to plug into a keyboard. I need the 25 key keyboard to have onboard sounds, so not a midi controller.

These are the only synths I know of that offer built in sounds in a 25 key form factor.

BTW, if I understand you correctly, you have a MIDI guitar device that you want to use as the controller so you're not only limited to 25 keyboards but are also capable of hooking them up to a rack module as well.

Take a look at

Peavey Musebox, Muse Receptor, Roland Sound Canvas, Roland Integra 7 Rack Module, Korg Triton Rack, Yamaha Motif Rack, Ketron SD2, Ketron SD4, Waldorf Blofeld.

All great noisemakers to use with MIDI control.

If you end up going with one of the rack modules I listed in my second post you can use the axiom to control it.
