We have a Juno DS-61 here and when I plug both 1/4" Jacks into the L & R output of the Juno I get a weird pulsating static noise. It only happens when both are plugged in not when it's on or the other.

What are you plugging the Juno into? It could be a ground loop.
It's going in to a Sonifex Source Selector which goes to an amp which goes to the speakers. It only happens when it is turned off at the switch on the back, need to test if it is also when the power is unplugged

The problem is probably the Sonifex.

How does the Juno sound plugged directly into an amp?

That's what it seems like after more testing today. Seems fine through headphones plugged into both L/R. Why would it be doing this with the Sonifex? Any Ideas?

Poor shielding inside the Soniflex or a ground loop.

Plug everything into the same outlet.

Will have to try it all on the same outlet thank you!

It's for a classroom, teacher wants to pick on a student to play their work out of the speakers at the front

Yeah that worked cheers, kinda hard to do that for the entire room though sadly, just something to live with I guess
Got another issue now where the Synth freezes when a DAW is not open on the mac when it's first turned on, any ideas?
I assume it's looking for a DAW to detect but there isn't one so panics and freezes or something like that

My synths all go mute when they're waiting for the computer to boot.

It's the USB enumeration process during startup.

Nothing you can do about that.

As for the DAW? It shouldn't have that effect on its own. It takes control when the app starts up and you have to usually have an armed recording track before you'll hear anything.

Check your Local ON/OFF toggle before and after each stage for a better idea of what's going on.

That's what I thought but it crashes is a better word rather than freezes because it won't start working again until it is fully turned off and back on. I contacted Roland and they said it's because the drivers are still "In Progress" so not much we can do except keep turning them off and back on

Check in your menu if you are using the Factory Driver or the Generic.

I used the Generic.

If you are not sending audio over USB the Generic should do fine.
