I needed to find find a way to fit my laptop and Nektar Impact GX49 on my desk in a way that preserves desktop space.

First, I looked for one to buy. Then, I decided to try making one out of two doorstops, two dead AA batteries, assembled with duct tape. The batteries fit into the wide slot on the bottom of the GX49.

The result works great. See attached pics.

It took me a few minutes to figure it out but that's a very nice and simple hack, repurposing the doorstops to act as an angled desktop stand.
