A new one for me. I am running my SM58 through my Juno DS and in performance mode adding Vocoda as an effect on a patch. It works brilliantly, until I get to rehearsal.
In a nutshell, ambient noise is triggering the vocoda and/or causing feedback. I’m am brainstorming solutions so it’s fixed for next rehearsal and have though of these options:
1. Turn the mic level down and speak a lot louder into the mic
2. Get a more directional mic
3. Run my mic through a gate pedal with the gate turned up high to prevent ambient triggering
The first one seems viable but I’m concerned it will still be an issue. Does anyone have any other uncostly solutions to this issue?
