I want to start playing the keyboard. I have no past piano or keyboard experience. I know I'm going to end up using the keyboard with my computer. So I was wondering if my first keyboard should be an midi controller. I would also like to know if there is any good PC software to play an midi keyboard on the computer like any other keyboard. Personally, I would buy a keyboard that has it's own sounds to learn on. Yamaha has keyboards that teach you how to play, and connect to PC's as well and can be used as a controller if it has midi connections on the back. Software you can try is Cakewalk - there is various types.
