I've been looking to purchase a MIDI keyboard, i'm a beginner and not looking for anything to expensive but something with the extra tones, etc. From what i've seen and played around with both the Casio WK-1630 and WK-3800 are in my price range. Which would be most recommended in terms of playability, sound, volume, durability, and whichever is easier to use and understand settings. Quick response is appreciated.

I have the WK 3800 , which is a great keyboard and has a USB connector for the PC , but the one failing thing is there is no MIDI ports to use. You can use a SD card or floppy (old tech) but it sounds better than the old Casios.

Polysynth, what did you end up buying?
tassiespirit: What would you say about the "analogue" sounds, such as grand piano and strings on the Casio? And is the quality of the "hardware" ok?
