Connecting keyboards of 2 laptops to 1 laptop through Ethernet cable

Hi.

I'd like to ask how I can make it so that if 2 laptops are connected by ethernet cable, pressing a key on one will allow the other to receive the same input? For example, if laptop 1 and 2 are connected by a Cat5e cable, I want to be able to press the 'A' Key on laptop 2 and have the display of laptop 1 show the 'A' key being pressed (on a document for instance).

Is this possible? If so, what application would I need to use? Also, please note that the keyboards are firmly connected to each laptop (i.e. not detachable), so they cannot be connected via a USB cable, and I'd prefer not to buy any new hardware such as a USB keyboard or an external controller.

Thanks for any help!

Hey SolCon,

So we can be clear and give you the best advice. I'm wondering which A key you're referring to?
