I installed an expansion pack from yamaha on my psr sx 900…but didnt know I had to take a backup of existing demo packs…lost a beautiful style called “20_captainsax6-8 rock”…,does anyone know how I can get it back from yamaha…I was using it for a song and never saved it in a registration bank…so when I brought in this new expansion pack using expansion manager, it probably overwrote that style…any help is appreciated…thanks

Ask around if anyone has a Backup file.

I have lost track of the number of times I have written “Backup BEFORE installing Updates or Additional content”.

At least you know what to do.

The following page from PSRTutorial shows a "CaptainSax6-8" style in the "Oldies" category for the Genos2, and I imagine it might be on other models as well, so you might try asking in the PSR Tutorial Forums if anyone has a copy of it.

If you know from which preinstalled pack is that style, download that pack from yamaha site and in Yamaha Expansion Manager make your own installation pack which will include also this style with corresponding instruments/voices.
In Menu2 > Expansion there is also an option to install back all factory preinstalled packs. This will of course delete any installed packs, but you can look at that style and see which voices and pads from expansion pack it uses.
