Well to be more specific-----IF you want a piece of kit----and nothing available seems to fit the bill------just keep searching!!----repeat over several days and even a week or so. The search engines log your 'preferences' (thats why ads. about your interests keep flying your way ). Low and behold ----give it say 10weeks and a Chinese company will have made it and wil be punting it through likes of Temu.
This has happened to me twice .
1) Was looking for a 12v PIR for our clubs security system -----searched and better searched ----some of my clubmates did likewise ---the only way seemed to be to modify a 250v and there were plans to do so on line.
13weeks later we had to go through it all again----THIS time 12volt systems were available from several sites! hmmmm.
2) Due to the odd setup our group has in hall where we practice-----we required that all instruments be mixed----but the mixer inputs were configured for 'mic' (preamp) ---or 'Line' , guitars were not really catered for ---OK we could get by using the trimmers ----but it just was not right. After searching through ---literally hundreds of effect boxes, DIs, pedals , mixers ---I realised that nothing really fitted. SO I built one myself, bespoke to my sons guitar ----and another for my Yamaha CK61 which has a very low output. (about 600mv at 90% volume----goes up to 1v at full whack)----maybe thats right ---don't know----means that you push your volume to the stops when onstage and let the mix man sort it out? doesn't give headroom within the keyboard itself though.--and goes against all my engineering instincts.
Roll on 8weeks ---suddenly something suitable popped up (but it was far more complex )------THEN two weeks ago ----a simple box with just an input and an output (9v power) appeared ---on Temu, calling itself the 'Buffer' . So yes big brother is definitely watching , and will grant your wish(at a cost of course) -----just keep searching.! (hey we know a song about that don't we?)
